HW: The Kriegsmarine pith is the first model, it is a pre-war munufacture around 1936. A heavy helmet made of starched canvas, withend on the outside with lime paint. This pith helmet is a typical piece that was bought from a tropical provider in small quantities for german warships for foreign voyages.
OTHER info: It is a rare pressed fibre helmet that was made in Germany in the early 1930s and issued to the Navy, as Germany didn’t have any colonies by then. Unlike the later Pith helmets that were used by the Afrika Korps, these examples are very hard to find.
