Falklands War Argentine Battle Damaged Steel Combat Helmet, an interesting example of a Argentine M1 pattern steel combat helmet which has its original camouflaged cover still mounted. To one side of the helmet is an impact dent. Helmet is complete with the original liner system with webbing straps. Inside the liner is a tape with inked name of the original owner, “Capellino”. Accompanying the helmet is a hand written note giving the history of the helmet and a bayonet which is no longer present, the note states, “The helmet came from a mobile radar site on top of ‘Salvador Hill’ situated on the west coast of East FALKLAND. After 24 hrs watch by an SBS team a harrier strike was brought in to destroy it, with a follow up by the team to clear it. The indentation on the right hand side is from an M16”. (1950)

El puesto M-3, que había sido desalojado por fuego naval, dada su estratégica posición se lo intentó montar nuevamente en los últimos días de la guerra. Con esa finalidad el CIC envió al Suboficial Auxiliar José Coutto y Cabo César Roca que, lamentablemente, no pudieron poner en marcha los equipos de comunicaciones. Con gran vocación de servicio, el Cabo Roca caminó entre 20/30 kilómetros hasta el poblado de Port Louis y pidió ayuda al encargado de la ROA. En reemplazo, el CIC envió al Cabo Primero Capellino y Cabo Carlos Gómez, quienes fueron tomados prisioneros antes de entrar en contacto con la cabecera.
